
I started out attending Rankon Trade School in 1963, then I worked as a truck mechanic for a couple of years while finishing high school. After high school, I attended Bailey Technical School and graduated from there in September 1966.
I served three years in the army, from September 1966 through September 1969. I was a tank mechanic in the States, and while I was stationed in Germany I ran a fuel and electric repair shop.
After returning from the Army I taught automotive machine shop and diesel fuel injection at ITT Technical School for three years, while working days for a Datsun (Nissan) dealership.
I worked at a Volkswagen dealership in 1972. Then I worked at a Fiat, Mazda, Lancia, International Harvester dealership, for one year. In 1974 I worked at a Mazda and Mercedes dealership for four years. After that dealership closed, I went to work for a VW dealership through 1983. I then managed a machine shop until 1985.
With all this experience behind me, I started my own company, RAMS Cylinder Heads, and I have been here for 27 years.
